Sara Brown

Sara is a Vancouver based artist who works in both the abstract and figurative. She loves to play wiht a variety of materials including inks, charcoal, paint, and mixed media. Much of her work is based in her exploration of the inner landscape of the unconscious and allows for serendipitious play between line, form, and space. 

Sara was raised in California and grew up painting alongside her mother, an artist and teacher. She has studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and at Emily Carr University in Vancouver.

Sara’s work was exhibited in the group show “Making Marks: illustrated works in pen and ink” at Emily Carr in June, 2015. She also participated in the group show “The After Crawl”  in November, 2013.

She loves skiing, soup making, and singing in the car! We LOVE Sara! She is extremely popular here in the studio for private class bookings so give us a shout if you are ready to feel the joy of creativity!
